BATTERY HOLD DOWN
A metal retainer went across the battery and was held down with a hooked bolt (and wingnut) and a short bolt.
These are priced less and will also fit 1961-64 Cars (need to order 1 shorter hook C3031A & 1 C3031). It will
also fit 1961-65 Vans (FC) but 1 hook (C4673) will have to be shortened 1".
These had a metal retainer that went across the battery. The Cars were held down with 2 hooked bolts and
wingnuts and the Vans had 2 longer hooked bolts with wing nuts. These will also fit 64 Cars and 64-65 Vans.
These originally used a plastic piece that went across the top of the battery and was held down
by 2 hooked bolts and wingnuts on the Cars and 2 longer hooked bolts on the Vans. You
may also use the one listed above for 61-63 Cars and Vans or the one listed for 1960 Cars.
1965 Cars also used a metal retainer across the battery. One side was held down with a hooked bolt that went
through a metal loop. The other side was a regular long bolt that threaded into a welded nut.
These batteries were held in differently. A bracket was welded to the body. The battery was pushed up against
that bracket (stop) and then a metal piece was put against the engine side of the battery and a bolt went
through it. As it was tightened, it pulled down on the retainer which pushed against the battery.

BATTERY TRAYS
Black plastic tray that holds battery to catch & direct any spilled battery acid. The original thickness battery tray
material is hard to find. Clark's chose to go to 20% THICKER.

D. FC BATTERY CABLE rubber coated RETAINER – rubber coated metal retainer holds the battery cable & the cable going
to the voltage regulator. It's near the battery box & is usually rusty or rubber is peeling. C13052 2 oz.
