'6266 All Turbo C2353 6 oz.
16. Fuel Return Line: Late 19631966 Turbo – All had a return line. It is very impor tant because under normal driving, the fuel pump puts out more fuel than
needed and since the turbo carb float is so small, it has trouble holding back the pressure. The return line sends the extra back into the tank to help prevent flooding. If
you have a 1962 or 1963 that does not have a return line, we highly suggest you add one.
On 196264, the line star ts as a rubber hose & clamp at the special fuel filter nipple, then changes to a steel line that follows the speedo cable. It then changes back to
rubber at the front of the car & continues up to a special rubber "T" which acts as the vent hose. The rubber "T" has a side hole for a small steel tube.
196566 starts as rubber & switches to steel that goes through the tunnel & comes out the front. From here, they vary – see additional notes. We offer full kits (below)
or individual parts (page 54).
NOTES: 6566 Short line: Connects to long steel line at the front of the tunnel.
65 Turbo short line: From front of long line to rubber vent "T" (we think these varied depending on long or short shaft steering box, but check yours.) With long
steerlng box: Rubber hose connected from the front of the long line to rubber vent "T" (DO NOT order steel line). With short steering box: Steel line from front
of the long line to the rubber "T".
66 Turbo Short Line: Connected to the front of long line w/ a rubber hose & clamps; it then connected to the nipple on filler neck via a rubber hose & clamps.
Note: Canadian short steel lines were different; due to limited demand, you'll have to order C12909T.
6566 Turbo Long Line: C12908 line is hard to install unless you have all other lines & harnesses out of the tunnel. If you don't, you may want to order the
2-piece that uses a connector inside the tunnel.

No Fuel Return Line?
You really want to add or replace a fuel return line on any turbo car. The carburetor will be much less likely to flood and run rich with a fuel return.
