1-BUFFING-I have used their buffs & compounds to make stainless steel trim &
brass look like new (if you use on aluminum you will probably wear off the
anodizing & have to clear coat)-for stainless i like to start with white compound,
followed by green stainless & blue rouge-if it needs alot of buffing i start with
a 10" spiral sewn cotton wheel for the white & sometimes green & finish with
loose cotton wheels. I also got their 3/4 hp buffing machine & have been
satisfied.
2-COPY CAD/ZINC PLATING - this may be overkill for the one time project but once i played around i was happy i had it. I got excellent "flat" cad plating & bright zinc (like new silver bolts) & yellow chromate plating (like some bolts & metal pieces-iridescent yellow/green/blue mix-often seen on power brakes,etc)
Blue chromate will make the zinc even brighter.
3-if used as directed these are safe.
4-the chemicals can be re-used for years (even if not used for years)-you can set up in 30 minutes & plate those last minute parts.
MUST HAVE- I feel the 4.5 GALLON copy/cad system kit is excellent to start.
You must also order their 20-22 amp rectifier-it makes things SOOO much easier & will allow you to plate nearly any size part you'll need.
